Creating web pages
Since there were some problems viewing these tutorials when sent via
email, I inserted some tags and put them on the web. They should make
more sense now.
If I were to write this today in 2005, about seven
years later, I'd include CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). I suggest doing
a web search on CSS after you get the basics down, there are some good
tutorials out there.
- Section I, the basic structure of a web page.
- Section II, using notepad to create a web page under Windows.
- Section III, using vi or emacs to create a web page under Linux/Unix
- Section IV, paragraphs and line breaks.
- Section V, headings and horizontal rules.
- Section VI, in-line images.
- Section VII, hypertext links.
- Section VIII, colored backgrounds and text.
- Section IX, formating lists.
- Section X, tables.
- Section XI, frames.
- Section XII, further reading.
